The “WHY?”

Sky-rocketing temperatures, rising concrete jungles, raising dust winds, decreasing water tables - all have made life on earth a hot topic of debate in the recent years. Earth, our only planet, is in peril. The cries and hues to save earth have been so loud that we get little time to invest on actions.

Tree Planting at Open Jail Ground

Coimbatore Open Jail had a huge open space within their compound. Siruthuli joined hands with the inmates of Open Jail towards transforming that open space into a green valley and thereby create a lung space for Coimbatore.

Cassurina Planting at Vellalore Garbage Yard

Vellalore Garbage Yard comprises solid wastes of total Coimbatore Corporation (having a depository of 5 lakh metric tons with daily additions of 600 metric tons) and four mega sized lagoons of drainage water (which is more than 30% of Coimbatore drainage that are sourced through under ground drainage pipes).   All these solid and liquid wastes are pooled within a 700 acre reserve site.   Due to these wastes, the neighborhood residents had a hell of their time due to bad odors, flies and mosquitoes.
