The first Advisory Committee meeting was held on 14th October 2006, and as per their recommendations Siruthuli started to collect the relevant data and to execute the activities.

The second Advisory Committee meeting was held on 3rd Feb 2007.  During this meeting, a detailed presentation was made by Siruthuli to the Advisory Committee members over the statistical data collected from various departments, like the rainfall data for the last 30 years, rough estimate over the consumption of water through power extraction, run-off water at various anaicuts etc.   Deliberations and recommendations were made after analysing the data collected.   A sub-committee was formed to have focused concentration with regard to Noyyal Restoration on the up-stream side of the river. The Noyyal Advisory Committee came up with two major recommendations.  First one was to construct more number of cost effective check-dams on the up-streams of River Noyyal.   This was highly recommended to check rapid flow of river during monsoon times and to ingest more and more water into the ground for having a sustainable flow in the down stream.   Second suggestion was to harvest rain water through implementation of watershed concepts over the farmlands near foothills. The Noyyal Advisory Committee also recommended Madhvarayapuram as the most appropriate area to start with.

Together we strive for a clean and green, water-wise tomorrow!!!
