Keeping in tune with the Supreme Court order with regard to reclaiming water bodies, we were successfully able to relocate 450 families who had encroached on the bunds of valankulam tank. These families were re-located to Madukkarai, a suburb of Coimbatore. The debris of around 2000 truck loads were cleared from the tank area.
