On 17th September 2007, Siruthuli teamed up with PWD and began the work of encroachment removal along the Vellalore Rajavaikaal near Aathupaalam in Pollachi and Palghat Road. There were nearly 1000 houses encroaching in this area. By removing these encroachments, free flow of water was ensured along the Vellalore Rajavaikal channel. This one is the main supply channel for Vellalore tank.
